Jill Garinger
Jill graduated from the University of Washington in 1991 with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and earned her ATA - Legal Assistant degree in 1996 from Edmonds Community College. Since 1997, Jill has worked as a paralegal in the areas of general litigation, criminal law, estate planning/probate and family law. She joined Brewe Layman as a family law paralegal in 2003. Jill is also a licensed notary public for the State of Washington.

Amy Hagenston
Amy earned her paralegal degree from Skagit Valley Community College in 1992. She has worked in the legal field for almost 15 years and joined Brewe Layman in 1999 where she focuses on family law cases.

Sarah Houtstra
Sarah received her paralegal certificate from Washington Online Learning Institute in 2002. She performed trial litigation work in personal injury and general corporate litigation for the past 3 years. She joined Brewe Layman in December 2007. Along with personal injury cases, Sarah is the paralegal for adoption cases and is also a licensed notary public for the State of Washington.

Jenn James
Jenn received her ATA degree in Paralegal studies from Edmonds Community College in 2001. She began her career with Brewe Layman in 1996 while she was still in high school working as a runner and worked her way to her current role as a paralegal, in which she handles all types of family law cases. Jenn is also a licensed notary public for the State of Washington.

Shannon Lipp
Shannon received her ATA degree in the Paralegal studies from Edmonds Community College in 1995. She has more than 12 years experience working in the legal field, having begun her career with Brewe Layman in 1998 as the receptionist and working her way to her paralegal position. In addition to her extensive paralegal duties on all probate, guardianship and collection cases, Shannon also handles all day-to-day administrative duties for the office and is a licensed notary public for the State of Washington.

Katie Miller
Katie earned her Paralegal Degree from Edmonds Community College in 1997. She has worked in the legal field since 1997 and joined the Brewe Layman team in 2000 where she specializes in family law cases. Prior to joining Brewe Layman, Katie worked for the Honorable Larry E. McKeeman in the Snohomish County Superior Court.

Tanya Murphy
Tanya graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 1987 and has worked in the legal field since July 1991, garnering extensive on-the-job training. She joined Brewe Layman in August 2005, where she is able to put her significant family law experience in King and Snohomish Counties to work. She is also a licensed notary public for the State of Washington.

Abby Philips
Abby received her Associates in Business Technology degree from Everett Community College in 2005. She joined Brewe Layman in 2000 and in addition to being the firm’s Property Manager, Abby is the paralegal assigned to all estate planning, prenuptial agreements and DUI cases. Abby is also a licensed notary public with the State of Washington.

Debbie Sherlock
Debbie graduated from Stanwood High School in 1979 and has more than 25 years experience working in the legal field. She joined Brewe Layman in 2005 as a paralegal, where she specializes in family law. Debbie is also a licensed notary public for the State of Washington.

Kelly Williamson
Kelly received her B.S. in Psychology in 1987 from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia, and received her Post Graduate Paralegal Certificate in 1993 from Southeastern Paralegal Institute (an ABA Approved School). Kelly joined the Brewe Layman team in 2001 and offers more than 13 years of family law experience.
